Our Mission
At The Local Choice Movers, our mission is to provide reliable, efficient, and affordable moving services for apartments, homes, and offices in Clayton, NC and surrounding areas, with long-distance and out- of-state moves available. We handle moves of all sizes with professional care, experienced crews, and transparent pricing you can trust.
MOVING RATES
2 MOVERS & TRUCK
LABOR ONLY SERVICES

Movers:
- $150/hour (Monday – Thursday)
- $160/hour (Friday – Sunday)
- 3-hour minimum required
Truck Fee:
- $100 -16 ft Truck
- $200 - 26 ft Truck (recommended for 2+ bedroom homes)
Included Services:
- Professional padding protection (blankets, shrink wrap)
- Disassembly & reassembly of furniture
- Please note: TV boxes are not included. Plasma TVs must be tran

Billing Details:
After the 3-hour minimum, billing continues in 15-minute increments at $37.50
Example:
A 3-hour move on a Monday would cost $550.00 (includes the $100 truck fee for the 16 ft truck). Additional time is billed in 15-minute increments.

Example:
A 3-hour labor-only service will cost $500.00 (travel fee included).

Examples:
- Adding a 3rd mover to a standard moving service on a Monday will cost $200/hour (Mon-Thur.) or $210/hour (Fri-Sun), plus the standard truck & travel fee.
- Adding a 3rd mover to a labor-only service will cost $200/hour (Mon-Thur.) or $210/hour (Fri-Sun), plus the travel fee.

A heavy lifting fee applies to individual items weighing between 200–300 lbs.
This charge is in addition to our standard moving or labor services and helps ensure the safety of our crew and your belongings.
Please Note:
We do not move items over 300 lbs, such as gun safes, pianos, hot tubs, or large commercial equipment. For more details, please visit our Services We Don’t Provide section.
